Third Sector to exit print after 30 years

Third Sector, the UK’s leading subscription magazine for the voluntary and not-for-profit sector, will end its print run in October and transition to a digital-first offering. The title launched in the early 1990s, as a fortnightly magazine featuring sector news and an extensive recruitment section. It was acquired by Haymarket Media Group in 2002 and it stepped up to weekly publication, produced by an editorial team of 20. RNLI already third largest UK charity on TikTok just one week after launch

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) has gained more than 100,000 new social media followers and 4M views within days of launching on TikTok. The short-form video hosting service has swept the online world and the lifesaving charity is now third only in the UK sector on TikTok behind the Black Country Living Museum and the British Red Cross. Scientists embark on world-first study to reveal carbon stored in UK seas

The UK will become the first nation to produce a complete map of its blue carbon stores, thanks to a new, pioneering project.   The Blue Carbon Mapping project – led by the Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS) and funded by WWF-UK in collaboration with The Wildlife Trusts and RSPB – builds on the blue carbon mapping that began in Scotland.   The final report will be produced by the summer of 2023, with initial findings expected later this year.   There is currently limited information about how much carbon is stored…
