PRSA Joins Global Alliance to Celebrate Diversity, Inclusion and Equality Month in June

PRSA, the nation’s leading professional organization serving the communications community, is joining the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management to celebrate its Diversity, Inclusion & Equality Month in June. Throughout the month, the Global Alliance will share insights and best practices via articles and webinars at no cost. PRSA will be hosting and taking part in two of the month’s offerings.

A Diversity & Inclusion Dialogue Session will take place on June 15 at 11 a.m. ET. The session will be moderated by Gladys Díaz, Diversity, Inclusion & Equality Month Chair. Panelists will include Dr. Felicia Blow, APR, 2022 PRSA Chair, as well as Diversity and Inclusion Committee Co-Chairs Anita Ford Saunders, APR and Jaron Terry, APR, Fellow PRSA.

On June 22 at 5 p.m. ET, PRSA will host the Diverse Dialogues session “Understanding Gender Identity and Intersectionality to Improve Communications.” During the session, a panel of transgender and nonbinary communicators will discuss how to drive advocacy for transgender and nonbinary inclusion in the workplace and how being a better ally to the LGBTQ+ community improves inclusion and communications. The discussion will be moderated by Terry and panelists will include Marie-Adélina de la Ferrière, (she/her/hers) PR Specialist, Dixon Schwabl + Company; Diego Sanchez, APR (he/him/his), Director Advocacy, Policy & Partnerships, PFLAG National; and K Terry Smith (they/them/their), Consultant Innovation Marketing, Nationwide.
