IPA President Josh Krichefski is to award a Special Prize for Next Generation Brand-building at the 2024 IPA Effectiveness Awards. The 2024 President’s Prize will be bestowed to the entry that has best-increased marketing effectiveness by recognising the diversity of the UK population and expanding their communications to include a new generation of customers, or an audience previously ignored, under-represented, or misunderstood. Diversity at trustee board level still a challenge for charities

Just half (50%) of charities say they are actively looking to recruit trustees from more diverse backgrounds, a new survey* from Ecclesiastical has found. The specialist charity insurer asked 250 charity trustees whether they were actively seeking trustees from a more diverse range of social and ethnic backgrounds. The research revealed only half (50%) of charities are attempting to improve diversity through trustee recruitment, a 14% drop on 2022 when two thirds (64%) said they were. New £300,000 “Nature Hubs” grant fund launched to support community green spaces

Environmental charity Hubbub has recently launched a brand-new fund to support green spaces that benefit local communities. The charity is urging local community groups across the country to apply for a grant of up to £6,000 to help enhance or create a green space that can be accessed by the local community to visit, relax and connect with nature in. Over 10,000 people are supported by local funding in disadvantaged areas

More than 10,000 people are being supported by UK Community Foundations into volunteering and opportunities to build social connections thanks to the Government’s Know Your Neighbourhood Fund.  Over £10 million has been allocated by UK Community Foundations (UKCF) to create high quality volunteering opportunities and support people experiencing, or at risk of loneliness in Wolverhampton, South Tyneside, Kingston-Upon-Hull, Blackpool, Stoke-On-Trent, Great Yarmouth, Fenland, County Durham, and Barrow-in-Furness.
