Tesco answers food banks’ aid plea with £1m funding boost

Tesco has announced a new £1m support package for food banks and food charities after the Trussell Trust warned they are facing their most difficult winter ever. BNP Paribas supports Phenix, the French start-up fighting food waste

Didim becomes the first town in Turkey to endorse the Plant Based Treaty in response to the climate emergency.

Didim Council endorsed the Plant Based Treaty, becoming the first town in Turkey to join the groundbreaking initiative to tackle emissions from animal farming and attributed deforestation, a key driver of the climate emergency. The endorsement comes a year after Turkey ratified the Paris climate agreement, the last G20 country to do so.
