Asda has announced that it has launched a free prescription delivery service across all of its 255 pharmacies to help get vital medication to its customers who are currently self-isolating, or less able to get into stores. During the Coronavirus pandemic, there has been a huge increase in prescriptions, and some customers aren’t currently able to get out and about to collect them from stores. In a continued effort to help provide food for local communities and those most in need, Asda has launched a ‘volunteer shopping card’ giving those self-isolating a contact-free way to allow others to collect and pay for their weekly shop. Asda removes 16 tonnes of plastic packaging from new Easter egg range

In a market-first initiative that forms part of Asda’s promise to ‘Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle more’, the supermarket today announces that its new Extra Special Easter egg range will be packaged in 98% less plastic – saving a total of 16 tonnes year-on-year.
