Sweden to become the first country worldwide where all Coca-Cola plastic bottles will be made from 100% recycled material

Coca-Cola Sweden announced today that, from 2020, it will make all of its plastic bottles from 100% recycled material1, becoming the first country worldwide to do so.  The transition will begin in the first quarter of 2020 and includes all plastic (PET) packaging made at Coca-Cola’s bottling plant in Jordbro. Coca-Cola will end the use of plastic shrink-wrap across all multipacks of cans sold in Great Britain and replace it with cardboard. More than 30 million packs sold to consumers each year will no longer be wrapped in plastic. Diageo, Unilever, Coca Cola and Nestlé pledge to clean up plastic in Africa

Diageo, Unilever, Coca Cola and Nestlé have launched a scheme to rid Africa of plastic waste.
