Tesco and suppliers cut 200,000 tonnes of food waste from operations

Tesco has worked in partnership with its suppliers to cut 200,000 tonnes of food waste from their combined operations, the supermarket has revealed. The Pacific Coast Collaborative (PCC) announced plans to lead a US-based public-private partnership – one of the largest in the world – to address wasted food. UK Government issues £3m grant to tackle food waste during coronavirus outbreak

Food redistribution organisations across England will benefit from £3.25 million of government funding to help them cut food waste and redistribute up to 14,000 tonnes of surplus stock during the coronavirus outbreak.
