Nationwide pet store first to install special recycling points for flexible pet food packaging

In an industry first, nationwide pet care business Pets at Home is leading the way by introducing dedicated recycling points for flexible pet food packaging. The new initiative, which is being supported by pet food producers Mars and Purina PetCare, aims to combat flexible packaging waste in the sector, tackling the pet food packaging made of these materials. Mars Wrigley UK pilots ‘Bean Board’ in innovation trial with Tesco

Mars Wrigley UK has announced a trial in Tesco stores to pilot an innovative new material made from cocoa bean shells for promotional displays – a global first for the confectionery category.  The new material, dubbed ‘Bean Board’, is made from 70% recycled paper and 30% waste cocoa bean shells.
