Cancer Research UK has launched a new campaign to thank its 1.1million regular supporters and spread the message that, ‘Because of you’, mums are still sharing special every day moments right now.

The “Because of you” campaign is aimed at supporters of the charity, which says donations have directly increased survival rates from one in four to two in four for ten years or more – meaning “thousands of mums are still being mum right now.”

A team of incredible women who have been treated for cancer captured their own home footage to create short uplifting films thanking supporters for keeping more families together.

From playing with their children, helping with homework or cheering on football practice, the participating mothers demonstrate how thanks to regular givers Cancer Research UK’s pioneering work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer has helped save millions of lives.

Created by Atomic London, the digitally-led campaign is being rolled out in the lead up to Mother’s Day across pre-roll, social, digital and owned channels. Content will also appear on the Netmums site as part of a wider partnership.

Graham White, director of individual giving at Cancer Research UK said: “Our campaign aims to show our fantastic supporters the phenomenal progress we’re making at Cancer Research UK thanks to their generous on-going help, and to ultimately thank them in a genuine way.

“Atomic has created a highly emotive campaign using real footage of real mums continuing to live real lives after cancer – and this really does prove to our supporters the powerful impact of their donations.”
