The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew has submitted a planning application to the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames to undertake a landmark renovation of the iconic Palm House and Waterlily House.  The proposed renovation aims to create the first heritage net-zero glasshouses of their kind, conserving two of the UK’s most iconic buildings while radically reimagining their design for a more sustainable future. PRCA welcomes the introduction of the newly established Ethics Commission

The PRCA has welcomed the recent announcement by the Government to establish a new Ethics and Integrity Commission to oversee standards in public life. As part of the changes, the Advisory Committee on Business Appointments (ACOBA) will be abolished. ACOBA currently advises former ministers on post-government appointments but has long been criticised for lacking enforcement powers.
