The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) has recently announced it will cease active posting on X (formerly Twitter), citing growing concerns over declining engagement, platform governance, and the proliferation of misinformation.  The decision follows a comprehensive review of the Institute’s social media strategy which revealed rapidly declining engagement and increasing challenges in maintaining meaningful professional discourse on the platform.
