Aldermore Bank has chosen Macmillan Cancer Support as its ‘Charity of the Year’ from now until next summer. Macmillan Cancer Support was elected following a bank-wide employee vote from a list of shortlisted charities. Throughout the year, colleagues at Aldermore will hold a series of planned fundraising events in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, from virtual quizzes to sponsored runs, in an effort to raise £30,000 for the charity. At a high level event on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, UN Women, the UN Development Programme, UNHCR, and the Global Campaign for Equal Nationality Rights called for reform of nationality laws that discriminate on the basis of gender.
