Amazon has announced the Housing Equity Fund, a more than $2 billion commitment to preserve and create over 20,000 affordable housing units in Washington State’s Puget Sound region; Arlington, Virginia; and Nashville, Tennessee—three communities where the company has or expects to have at least 5,000 employees each in the coming years. Asda trials vegan butcher concept as plant-based eating grows in popularity

To the delight of hungry herbivores around the country, ASDA has announced a partnership with vegan concept creator, Kbox Global, to trial a supermarket vegan butcher counter – Veelicious. Situated at ASDA’s Watford store, the counter will open in the New Year as a six month trial to coincide with Veganuary and will have a consistent vegan butcher offering – including facon, bean burgers, and meat-free meatballs. UK Plastics Pact cuts unnecessary plastic by 40% and increases plastic recycling by 107,000 tonnes

WRAP has published its second annual report for The UK Plastics Pact showing that members have made some good progress against targets, including a reduction in the amount of plastic packaging being used, and good progress in plastic recycling at home.
