Global water technology leader Xylem is expanding its sustainability commitments with new 2030 water stewardship goals, following the company’s combination with Evoqua. Xylem’s 2030 goals include enabling its customers to reduce global water demand by at least 2 billion cubic meters, reducing the company’s own water intensity by 30%, and gaining visibility into the water intensity of its supply chain through water stewardship reporting and practices. The Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation is a platinum partner to Chapter One, a charity aimed at improving educational outcomes, addressing a root cause of food insecurity. Screwfix, the UK’s leading trade retailer has reduced its direct carbon emissions (scope 1 and 2) by 50% since 2021/22, even after taking into account growth from 790 stores to more than 900 stores. In 2021, Screwfix’s direct carbon emissions measured more than 23,000 tonnes, in 2022 it was 18,900 tonnes, and by the end of 2023 it had decreased to less than 11,000 tonnes.
